Lay out your gears in order on the Gear Board and read them as one long line. When you have read Elias's message, do exactly what it says.

First hint
Lay the 24 gear letters from the Gear Board in a row, from box 1 to box 24, and read them as one long line. Elias left no spaces.
Second hint
The line starts with NOW. The message has six words and tells you where to look next in the book.
Solution
The 24 gear letters read NOWLOOKUNDERTHECLOCKFACE: "Now look under the clock face." Turn the Clock Face page (page 69) and read the page underneath.
